What do we mean by Operation Overlord?

Our name, Operation Overlord Ministries, illustrates our dedication as GOD'S INTERNATIONAL ARMY to the fight against sin.

Operation Overlord, also called D-Day or the Normandy Invasion, was the code name for the invasion of northwest Europe during World War II by Allied forces. The operation began with the Normandy Landings on June 6, 1944, among the largest amphibious assaults ever conducted. Nearly 160,000 troops crossed the English Channel on June 6, landing more than 3 million troops by the end of August.

In the end, Europe was liberated from domination.

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" (Ephesians 6:12).
